1. More kilometers available
Andorra has always been known for its extensive ski areas, and this season is no exception: in addition, one of the novelties is the expansion of the ski areas of Grandvalira Resorts, a domain under which all sectors of the Principality are integrated. Thus, the Canillo sector opens three new slopes this season (Seig, La Font and La Pala, all three are red), thus adding five skiable kilometers and leaving a total of 308 kilometers. All three have been laid out around a new chairlift in the Encampadana area.
On the other hand, in Vallnord and in view of the future ski union between Pal and Arinsal, which is expected to become a reality in the 2024-25 season with new red and black slopes, this year a first phase with the new Port Negre chairlift. Likewise, Arinsal has a new 700 m blue runway under the name of El Niu. In addition, access to off-piste areas has been expanded, allowing more experienced skiers to enjoy exciting descents in virgin snow.
These new expansions only confirm Grandvalira as the largest ski resort in the entire Pyrenees and southern Europe.
As if that were not enough, this winter we are also working on revitalizing the area of the Port of Envalira-Atenes, improving the upper section of the Port-Grau track and located in the area of the new access to the ICONIC altitude sports performance center, which is It hopes to open its doors in 2025.
2. State-of-the-art technology
The Grandvalira Resorts snowmaking network has also received an important boost for this winter season. Thus, 88 new snow blowers have been installed, which have allowed the network itself to be optimized. Artificial snow is crucial to ensuring a good ski season, especially at times when natural snowfall is scarce. In this sense, one of the areas where special emphasis has been placed is the Pla de les Pedres area, the link between Soldeu and Grau Roig.
In addition, the station continues to increase its commitment to the environment and focuses, especially, on various actions aimed at reducing energy consumption and carbon footprint, such as the use of renewable energy and the management of natural resources. In this way, efficient and sustainable production is guaranteed.
3. Improvements in infrastructure and services
The ski resorts in Andorra have made significant improvements to their infrastructure and services to guarantee a comfortable and pleasant stay. From modernizing lifts to expanding rest areas and on-mountain restaurants, skiers will find improved amenities in every resort.
For example, restaurants and cafes in ski resorts have been renovated and expanded, offering a wide variety of dining options to satisfy all tastes. From traditional dishes to international cuisine, skiers will be able to enjoy delicious food while they rest and recharge.
On the other hand, in Pas de la Casa, Costa Rodona 2,222 is inaugurated, the new multifunctional building in this sector, which will offer a modern and expanded ski storage service with 230 lockers, new rooms for ski clubs, a sales with three lockers and self-sales machines, as well as a new store and another for ski equipment rental.
4. Off-piste experiences
Because the fun doesn't stop when the sun sets in Andorra, the 2023-24 ski season brings with it a variety of innovative après-ski activities, experiences that will undoubtedly complement your time in the snow. From cultural events and snow concerts to themed mountaintop dinners, visitors will find exciting options to relax and enjoy after a day on the slopes.
In fact, a new mountain circuit has been incorporated in Soldeu, in addition to offering a total of 6 new circuits in the Soldeu, El Tarter and Canillo sectors. Likewise, freestyle lovers will have good news: the snowpark of El Tarter, the Sunrise Park Xavi of Grau Roig and the Sunset Park Henrik Harlaut of Peretol incorporate 8 new freestyle modules and renew two of the existing ones, thus providing a dose extra adrenaline.
In addition, new adventure parks have been added where you can try activities such as archery, sleigh rides and even snowmobiling. Ideal options for those looking for an additional dose of excitement and fun during their stay in the mountains beyond skiing and snowboarding.
On the other hand, large music festivals with internationally recognized artists will transform Andorra's nights into vibrant parties. Thus, from April 4 to 7, the Grau Roig sector will host the second edition of Snowrow, a music and sports festival.

Once again, the 2023-24 season in Andorra promises to be full of excitement with the organization of high-level events and competitions. From alpine skiing competitions to freestyle exhibitions, snow lovers will have the opportunity to witness some of the world's best athletes in action. Additionally, some events are designed to allow active participation by visitors, giving everyone the opportunity to experience the adrenaline of winter competitions.
Among all, we highlight the celebration of the Audi Fis Ski World Cup, on February 10 and 11. Soldeu will be the scene of the next edition of the women's slalom and giant slalom World Cup. A month later, from March 12 to 15, the tenth edition of the Kilometer Throwing World Cup will be held, with the Riberal KL slope, in Grau Roig, the epicenter of the fastest skiers in the world.
